New City Greenhouses’ double-layer inflated poly film roof had become yellowed and torn, reducing light transmission to their plants. The damaged film also prevented their inflation fans from maintaining proper air pressure, leading to wind damage and loss of insulation value.
With a tight schedule and a long six-hour drive ahead, the Quality Structures crew traveled overnight to complete the replacement early one morning when the weather forecast predicted low wind speeds. The new double-layer poly film now provides excellent light transmission and insulation — helping their greenhouses thrive once again.
